Volunteering to help the Chevra Kadisha is considered one of the greatest of all Mitzvot.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Boulder Chevra Kadisha.
The Boulder Chevra Kadisha is a volunteer-based organization serving Jewish communities in Boulder County. Our trained local volunteers provide traditional Jewish burial preparation and dedicate themselves to honoring the deceased through respectful and dignified practices.
The Boulder Chevra Kadisha focuses on two rituals:
Tahara (the washing and ritual purification of the body as well as dressing it in traditional burial garments)
Shmira (guarding the deceased from the time of death until burial).
For security purposes, we request contact information from everyone who will be entering our partner mortuaries to sit shmira or perform tahara.
Please complete the form below. Someone will contact you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you
